A book for conscious parents who want to overcome ingrained (and long-debunked) myths about how a good school operates.

Many parents of school-age and preschool children do not want the traditional school they themselves attended. They do not want a school where their child is compared to a line of others, gradually learning to do the same on command. They do not want a school where adults command children and enforce obedience. They want a school that makes sense for both the children and themselves, that does not stifle children’s interest in education, and that cultivates responsibility for their own lives instead of obedience. Moreover, it should support their talents and adapt to the individual character of each child.

Imagine your five-year-old child as a high school graduate or already a working person. You want your son or daughter to be happy and successful in their lives. You want their time in school to equip them for such a life.

-What does such a school that can achieve this look like?
-What can and should I, as a parent, actually want from a school?
-How do I know that my child is growing in school both in knowledge and personality?

If you want to know the answers to these questions, take a look at Markta Vodikov’s book. You will learn what it should be…
